Elizabeth "Betty" Pryde

Mom was born on March 28, 1939 in Thunder Bay to Wanda Tomas (Kohut) and Tony Kohut. She worked for the MNR from 1972-1996. In her retirement years she belonged to several groups: Red Hatters, Meals on Wheels, Hospital Auxiliary and Sew and Sew Quilters. Mom was a devoted, loving and generous Mother and Nana. her grandchildren were a special delight for her and they have been left with many wonderful memories of times spent together. She never forgot a birthday or an anniversary. Every card given to her so special that she kept them all. her special loves were quilting and gardening. A good friend said today that God will be getting a new quilt.

Mom was predeacesed by her father, mother and brother Bill Kohut (Elsie).

Mom will be lovingly remembered by her children Jodi Caul (Keith), Scott Pryde (Cindy) and heather Pryde (Chad); their father Don Pryde; grandchildren Kayla (Rey), Mackenzie, Riley, Jamie, Justin, David, Lochlan and great grandson Rustin; Aunties Ethel Wiwcharyk and Amelia Lewandowski; sister-in-law Joan Steven; special friend Doug McLeod and many special nieces, nephews and friends.

A special thank you to the nursing staff at LaVerendrye Hospital and Thunder Bay Regional Chemo Centre, the Tamarack House, Dr. Saliba and Dr. Algie.

A celebration of Mom's life will be held on Monday April 16th, 2012 at 10 a.m. at the Royal Canadian Legion in Fort Frances.

The pallbearers will be her grandchildren; Jamie, Kayla, Justin, Mackenzie, Riley, David, Lochlan and Rustin.

The honourary pallbearers will be her close friends.
