Roberto Mugnaini

Beloved husband of Maria Rosa. Loving father of Diane (Steward) Munoz, Johnel (Maria) Mugnaini and Vanessa (Luis) Flores. Cherished grandfather of Gianna, Lucca, Lilyana, Benicio, Gabriela and Niko. Dear brother of the late Velia, the late Domingo, the late Meri, Dino, Eva and Oscar.

Roberto Mugnaini, 77, of Berwyn Illinois passed away on November 27, 2022 after his hard fought battle with COPD and lung cancer. Roberto was born on September 25, 1945 to Assuero and Pascualina Mugnaini in Coronel Bogado, Argentina. In 1968 he immigrated with his wife Maria Rosa to the United States in pursuit of the American Dream. They settled in Chicago and went on to have 3 children, Diane Munoz, Johnel Mugnaini and Vanessa Flores.

He was a hardworking man of strong character, and his love for cars led him to fulfill his dream of owning a business. He was known as the best mechanic in town. He then went on to buy their first home in Berwyn, Illinois. and that is where he resided for 34 years with his wife, Maria Rosa.

His greatest accomplishment was his family. He adored his grandchildren, Gianna, Lucca, Lilyana, Benicio, Gabriela and Niko. He was their greatest fan. He attended games, recitals and was present at every major milestone.

He also had a great sense of humor. He loved telling jokes and sharing stories with friends and family. He would often be described as the "life of the party." His friendship and kindness was felt by all those who met him. Family and friends were always welcome at his house for an Argentine asado.

He never forgot his homeland, Argentina. He was also a great fan of soccer and loved to support and represent his country with such great pride. He truly lived life to the fullest.

Roberto will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

A visitation for Roberto will be held Sunday, December 4, 2022 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Woodlawn Funeral Home, 7750 West Cermak Road, Forest Park, Illinois.

Interment will be held privately.
