Paul Moreno, age 85, formerly of Waxahachie, Texas, passed away on February 5th, 2024. Paul is survived by his daughter, Dora (Rocky) Dominic, former wife and friend Julie Moreno and their children, Paul V. Moreno, Raul Moreno, Rich Moreno, Vince Moreno, Victor Moreno and Keith Moreno; grandchildren Carla, Paulie, Zachary, Nevada, Carsen, and Viviana; great-grandchildren Sage, Benjamin, Jacob and Leo; brother David Tovar, aunt Betsy Martinez and loving cousin Frank Flores. Preceded in death by his mother Josefina Moreno, brother John Moreno and grandson Derien Moreno.
Paul moved to Chicago from Waxahachie, Texas, when he was 16 years old. After working for 30 plus years, Paul retired from Sonoco Products Company. He was an avid golfer. In the 1950’s, while still in Texas, he spent time carrying clubs for golfers, including a former White Sox manager, which lead to his love of the Chicago White Sox. As an adult, he spent his time on the greens with his oldest son and golf partner Paul. When he wasn’t on the golf course, you could find him spinning across the dance floor dancing to his beloved Tejano music.
Paul was loved by many and will be greatly missed. He worked hard all his life and fought hard through all his physical battles. Now he’s resting in a good place. We love you Dad!
