The Madden family is one of the best families I know my prayers are with you and your family.

Just heard of Joe's passing . He was an inspiration to so many for such a long time. Joe will be remembered for fondness of family , his  development of his employees and their families , and business partners. 

A true Irishman with a lasting mark on all he met...

John I was sorry to hear of your brother Joes passing.  I got to Woodlawn at 3:15 yesterday from the far south side and parked two blocks away only to find the line almost an hour wait long.  I had to be in Oswego at 4:30 for my Grand daughters grandpa/grandma day at her school so I could not stay. I know Joe saw me in the line from above and knew grandkids were important.  I will keep him in my thoughts and prayers.

Dear Char and family, my prayers will continue to be with you in the weeks and months ahead. During my 25 years at St. Luke as RE Director my favorite masses were always the ones Joe was the usher at. Joe was so wonderful with the First Communion and Confirmation families and was always interest in how I was 'holding up'. I also loved seeing his big smile posing for photos with 'his' grandchildren when they received sacraments. May your family find comfort in all of your wonderful memories.

Mr. Madden was one of the kindest men I have ever known. I worked for him for several years in college at Madden Communications. He gave me a ride home all the time and would quiz me on the names of the streets in the city. I will never forget those rides! If I was ever over hanging out with his sons, he was always so friendly and welcoming. I will also never forget ordering River Pizza with him all the time over there because he loved it as much as I did! He had a huge heart and was always willing to make someone else happy first before himself. The world will not be the same without him. He touched the lives of so many. My thoughts and prayers go to his wife Mrs. Madden and his family.
