Richard He passed away unexpectedly on the morning of December 6th, 2024 at the age of 70. He was a loving husband, son, brother, friend, philanthropist, photographer, and most of all, a father. Richard was born in Shanghai and moved to New York City in 1989 where he went on to live a beautiful life full of love and adventure. Richard built his career upon his passion for the arts leading him to serve as the Chief Representative for China Guardian North America. He was truly enamored with every facet of the art world, especially the performing arts, spending much of his free time going to symphonies, operas, and art galleries with his family.
He was also an avid traveler and photographer. During his time on earth, Richard was able to visit most of North and South America, Europe, and Asia alongside his family. He saw the world with such incredible beauty and truly believed in making the most of every second he had. They say the meaning of life shouldn’t be to just live as long as possible, but truly live and enjoy every second of it while uplifting those around you – and Richard truly encapsulated that.
Richard had such an engaging and genuine personality. He couldn’t help but befriend anyone who crossed his path. Richard was a calming presence to those around him and a hero to his family. In his final moments, he continued to offer words of care and comfort to his wife and son. His actions encapsulate the compassionate, caring, and selfless man he was, as even in his last moments his only thoughts were about the well-being of his loved ones.
Richard’s absence has left a void as he will be deeply missed by his family and many friends. His memory will live on with his loving wife, June Feng and son, Alan He. He is also survived by his mother and two younger brothers. Even though his time was cut too short, his strength, love, and compassion will forever live on in the lives he’s positively impacted.
Richard’s memorial service will begin at 1:00pm on Saturday, December 21st at Forest Park Funeral Home, 114-03 Queens Blvd, Forest Hills, NY 11375.
