Aunt Deanna was not  into facetiming, but her Birthdays were ALWAYS an exception! 🎂🎉🎁
When I was able to FINALLY talk her into having an iphone— The first thing I did was teach her how to facetime .    She said,” ooohh no… I don’t think I like this… lol.  She loved seeing us, but felt awkward being on video.  However, she still welcomed it on occasion. 😁.   We are so happy to have not only memories but photos and videos as well.

I would send her Edible Arrangements (which included tiny cake and a candle) and then we’d Facetime her “party”!   
Aunt Deanna was always very thoughtful and remembered everyone’s birthdays.   She loved being the “ birthday girl”  as you can see , and we loved celebrating with her!

Aunt Deanna’s friend took this photo. Aunt Deanna then sent (via text) it to me. She said, and I agreed, that it was a very good picture of her.  She had me print it out and send her copies.   I was always happy to help with whatever and whenever she needed anything. Always in our hearts 💞

It’s been a little over 5 months and sometimes I wonder where your phone call is. When I’m waiting for you to call me. I love you so much. You were someone I looked forward to talking to whether you know it now or not. I miss your voice. I miss you telling me about your meals in the freezer or the fact you walked to the super market. I just passed a juniors and all I could think of was you and how we went and you made me try cheesecake there for the first time and I hated it but I was glad I did it w you. I can’t tell you how much I appreciate everything you did for me growing up. I didn’t deserve you and I’m so sorry I didn’t get to visit you as often as I should. I want you to know how much I Cheshire every memory I have had with you. I want you to know that you will forever be carried with me and I won’t let you down. Thank you for making your generosity engraved into my heart. I wear all my jewelry you gave me and I never want to let go of you. 🤍🪽this isn’t goodbye I will see you later

I met Deanna when my children were in her science class. we have since known each other for about 25 years we didn’t talk quite often. Yet We exchanged cards every year during the holidays. Even now that my children are adults she was in communication with them as well. I spoke to her in March and we had a long conversation reminiscing about old times with my children in school. It was the most memorable conversation. I will never forget my deepest sympathies . Joeanne

Aunt Deanna,
Phone calls were never short with you. Always hours long. But in those hours you told me the same story a million times. What I would give to listen to you talk again. I’m sure I could tell you the story of the chips ahoy cookies or your new banister. I know you are at peace now and can finally stop the pain. I loved you more than you could ever know. You always had such a special place in my heart and I will forever cherish every phone call and memory we had.  You were such an amazing woman. Yes, sometimes we wouldn’t see eye to eye but it only made our relationship stronger. Thank you for being such a role model to me. Thank you for always teaching me if you want something done do it yourself. Thank you for always encouraging “my life, my way”. Thank you for always being so selfless and putting your great nieces and nephews first. Thank you for taking care of everyone you have ever met. I will forever love you. I will forever be grateful for everything you did for me. Thank you Aunt Deanna🪽💕

Deannas family and friends,
My sincere condolences to you all.  Deanna and I met under unfortunate circumstances but the  more we spoke with one another the more we noticed we had alot in common.  We shared a special friendship and bond  with one another over the years that we ‘ve known one another.  We shared stories of our childhoods(we were both somewhat  mischievous..ha ha), we made one another laugh and cry and we shared many of the same beliefs.
She was a woman who spoke her mind and had the biggest heart.  Thats what I loved most about her.  She never took anything for granted and never expected anything from anyone.  She always went above and beyond for people and a simple “ thank you” was all she asked for and when she didn’t get this, it hurt her heart .  
Deanna loved her family especially her great nieces and nephews.  They were her pride and joy.  Every time we spoke , she spoke  of them with such pride and love.  Although at times she may have rattled some feathers with them, but  she loved them deeply, and only wanted what was best for them.
I will miss our calls and our friendship.  I pray you are at peace.  You will always hold a  special place in my heart and  you will never be forgotten my friend♥️♥️🥲😘😇

Me Kae Grandpa Grandma and aunt Deanna we never saw eye to eye on a lot of things recently but she was my grandfathers sister and nevertheless family and she will be missed dearly because even though I don’t see eye to eye with my sisters now that doesn’t mean I don’t cherish the women they are and what they mean to me and It sucks we never got to make one last good memory before her passing.

Though it wasn't long I remember the great memories we had. We used to go up to her apartment and watch old movies and drink chocolate milk and hang out with her for days. She will be missed. Sincerely, Jarok Dauber
