Benjamin Rosof

Ben was born in Brooklyn New York; graduated Jamaica High School where he was a star 60-meter dash sprinter under coach Larry Ellis; graduated Babson College with a degree in business administration; and graduated Syracuse University College of Law. He was a member of the bar associations of NY and NJ. He spent much of his legal career working on tax matters.

Active in his synagogue, Hillcrest Jewish Center, Ben served as Men’s Club president and as a member of the board of trustees. In addition, he coached little league baseball for his sons for many years and served as Treasurer of the Parent Teacher Association at Townsend Harris High School.

His proudest accomplishment was raising his two sons as a single parent.

Ben is survived by son Reuben, his wife Holly and their daughter Susannah; son Lawrence; sister Arlene Jacobson; brother Alan and his wife Patricia; friend Carol Hoexter; and a host of other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his beloved parents Al and Sally Rosof.

Ben will be dearly missed.

A funeral service for Benjamin will be held Friday, March 22, 2024 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at Sinai Chapels, 114-03 Queens Blvd, Forest Hills, NY 11375. Following the funeral service will be a committal service from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Beth David Cemetery, 300 Elmont Road, Elmont, NY 11003.
