Kathleen Deutsch

She is survived by her husband Stephen Deutsch and four children, John Deutsch (Lynn Deutsch), Ryan Deutsch, Troy Deutsch (Alexis Deutsch), Kelly Cusack (Charles Cusack). She loved her five grandchildren, Stephen, Michael, Jake, Madison and Michelle. Kathleen loved the holidays, especially Christmas where everyone got the gift of her amazing cookies. No Christmas was complete without her beautifully decorated boy and girl gingerbread cookies. The flowers were always in bloom in her garden and her vegetables were always plentiful and ripe. She loved to travel to Vermont to see if the cows were lying down and it was going to rain. Her most favorite place was Lake George, where it was our home away from home. From the changing colors of the leaves, the winter carnival on the frozen lake to the whole summer up there, the time was never enough to enjoy the one and only Lake George. Mom was an explorer each weekend to see if she could find the best bargains at yard sales and she always found the best stuff!

Kathleen always made sure that the house was full of snacks for the grandkids and that there was plenty of gifts under the tree at Christmas. Kathleen loved her family, but she always had unconditional love for her pets throughout the years. She was the best mom to all our dogs, bird, guinea pigs, gerbils and fish. The house was never empty!

Kathleen will forever be missed for her cooking, baking and adorable giggle. Mom was a fighter and she fought till the end, may we always live by her example and keep her memory bright and vivid. May she rest in peace in heaven and be dancing the polka with our family.

We will miss you and love you forever.

A visitation for Kathleen will be held Sunday, November 17, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Frederick Funeral Home, 192-15 Northern Boulevard, Flushing, NY 11358. A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, November 18, at 10:00 AM at St. Robert Bellarmine, 56-15 213th St, Bayside, NY 11364. There will be a committal service following at Saint Charles Cemetery 1100 New Highway, Farmingdale NY 11735.
