Gerry Valenzano

Geraldine Valenzano, known affectionately as Mommy by her pride and joy Angela. Also known as Gerry, Grandma Gerry, and Mama V, departed this world on February 8, 2024, surrounded by the love of her family. She now joins her late husband, Domenic Valenzano, in eternal peace.

Geraldine was a devoted and loving mother to Angela Valenzano and the late Donna Valenzano. Her maternal instincts extended beyond her immediate family, as she played the roles of a devoted aunt, caring grandma, and a cherished friend to many. Geraldine touched the lives of those around her with her kindness, warmth, and unwavering support.

Affectionately known as Mama Gerry, her heart was as big as her smile. She had a special way of making everyone feel loved and cherished. Geraldine had a natural gift for connecting with children, and her nurturing spirit left a lasting impact on those fortunate enough to be in her presence.

Geraldine brought joy and laughter into the lives of those around her. She had a playful and fun-loving nature that endeared her to many. Her infectious laughter echoed through the rooms, creating cherished memories for all who were lucky enough to share in her company.

A true fan of the New York Mets, Geraldine's love for the team was as unwavering as her love for her family. She spent countless moments cheering for her favorite players and celebrating victories with the same enthusiasm that she approached life. Additionally, she loved playing the slots in Atlantic City with her late beloved husband Domenic, she had a fondness for the thrill of the slots, finding joy in the excitement of each spin.

Geraldine Valenzano leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and warmth. Her memory will be forever etched in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing her. The family of Geraldine " Mommy" Valenzano will be receiving family and friends on Friday, February 16, 2024 at Frederick Funeral Home, 192-15 Northern Blvd., Flushing, NY 11358 from 3:00pm to 5:00pm and 7:00pm to 9:00pm.The family will gather for a final visitation on Saturday, February 17, 2024 from 9:00am to 10:00am The burial will take place on Saturday, February 17, 2024 an 10:30am at Mt. St. Mary’s Cemetery, 172-00 Booth Memorial Avenue, Flushing, New York 11365.
