Anna is survived by her three loving children – Edward (and Julaine) Sawchuk, Patricia (and Robert) Rotello, Susan Sawchuk (and Frank Barbano), four grandchildren (Daniel, Kristen, Andrew and Frank) and five great-grandchildren. She is predeceased by her husband, Edouard, and her parents, Sophie and Steven Dyky.
Anna lived a faith filled life. She was a longtime parishioner in her church, where she was the last remaining founding member. Anna was very involved in the church’s Ladies Guild and worked along with her friends there to pay off the church’s mortgage through dances, Sunday breakfasts and various other fundraisers. She had formed many close and lasting friendships through the church and its greater Ukrainian network. Anna shared many memories with her family and friends attending polka dances and other social outings.
Anna was a kind, caring, loving person who was always willing to lend a helping hand. She was involved in her neighborhood community association for many years. After her children were grown, she was a bookkeeper and later became a school secretary for the City of New York.
