Lord on 10/29/2020 at 12:10 p.m. surrounded by her children at Hyde Park Assisted Living
home, where she resided the last four years.
Maxine loved God with all her heart and strived to reflect Christ in how she lived her life. She
and her husband, Jimmy taught their children to walk in the ways of the Lord and led by
example. Maxine loved singing in the church choir and serving the Lord through her church,
WestWood Heights Free Methodist, where she attended for over 50 years. Maxine loved to be
with her family. She enjoyed spending her summers camping. Crocheting, knitting,
embroidering, and making crafts were all hobbies of hers. Maxine had a love for traveling! She
and her husband (among others) traveled to 48 different states!
She was born October 15, 1927, in Carland, Michigan, to Howard and Bessy Grounds. She
was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers Glen and Gail Grounds, her loving husband
James “Jimmy” Hudson, grandson Shane Yott and great grandson Nick Benton. She is
survived by her dearest children Diane (Larry) Browning, Denise Yott, David (Pam) Hudson, and
her many grand, great grand, and great great grandchildren.
The family will greet friends from 1:00pm- 5:00pm and from 6:00pm-8:00pm on Monday, November 2, 2020 at Reigle Funeral Home/Sunset Chapel, 5501 W Pierson Rd, Flushing, Michigan 48433 .Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm on Tuesday, November 3, 2020 at Westwood Heights Free Methodist Church, 3397 Windland Dr, Flint, MI. Interment at Sunset Hills Cemetery at a later date
