(aka; Ginny, Mom, Grandma and Gigi)
Virginia was born in Douglas, GA on June 11, 1933 to Harvey and Lillian Harrell. She had two sisters Marynell and Linda and two brothers Herschel and Jerry. The family moved to Savannah, GA when Virginia was quite young and lived there for many years. Virginia met our father William E Blocker and they were married in Savannah in 1950. Virginia had five sons William Jr., Mark, Russell, Craig and Kirk who all loved her very much. Virginia often said that her best times were when she was surrounded by all her boys. Virginia had several jobs during her life from The Atlanta Gas & Light Company to The Florida State Parks Service. The job she loved most was raising her boys and providing for her family. Virginia will be forever remembered and sorely missed by all her family. For our family it was a Blessing from Heaven to have such a wonderful Wife, Mother, Grandma and Great Grandma. Jesus sent an Angel for Virginia on November 11, 2024. At the grand age of 91 years she has now gone home. It was often said that Virginia had a direct connection with Jesus and most everything she ever prayed for was given to her.
