Norman D. MacDonald, 83, of Palm Coast, FL, died peacefully in his home on Thursday, August 25, 2022. He was born in Hartford, CT on November 1, 1938 son of the late William and Beatrice (Comstock) MacDonald. He was predeceased by his wife of 49 years, Carol (Erickson) MacDonald in 2018. Norman and his family were long-time residents of Canton, CT, he was the founder and owner of MacDonald Auto Parts in Canton and Torrington, CT. He and his wife began calling Palm Coast, FL home in 1988. He was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend to many. He was a member of the Palm Coast and Matanzas Yacht Clubs and also a member of the Elks.
Norman is survived by his 6 children; Diane Condon (and Gerald) of Palm Coast FL, Bruce of Forest City NC, Susan of Glastonbury CT, Dawn Anderson (and Tim) of Jefferson, GA, Scott of Palm Coast FL, and Norman Jr. (and Donna) of Wallingford CT, 9 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, his brother Douglas MacDonald of Monroe, GA, his sister-in-law MaryAnn Raymond of Palm Coast, several nieces, nephews and many friends. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Norman’s memory may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital or Shriners Hospital for Children.

There will be a Celebration of Norman’s Life for family and friends on Saturday, September 3, 2022 at 4:00pm at his home in Palm Coast.
