His family and friends are all deeply saddened and shocked by his sudden death. Mark was born on February 22, 1995 and was 29 years old. He grew up in Haymarket, and Virginia Beach, Virginia. He graduated with honors from Frank W. Cox High School and then attended the University of Florida. Mark adored his three Australian Shepards Lilo, York, and Sparky and they will be loved and spoiled by his family. His all time favorite hobby was riding Motocross with his best friends Adam, Johnny, and Michael who all called him Buzz. Mark was a software engineer and loved the challenge of solving hard problems. He was never satisfied with all that he knew and always continued to research and learn new things. He was one of the kindest souls you could ever meet and went out of his way to help others. Mark also held onto the memories he had with his Australian Shepard Hercules who was his best friend and companion. Mark had the little wooden box of Hercules’ ashes in his hands when he died.
Mark is survived by his parents Mark and Carla King; sisters Tiffany King, April Folgar (Luis), Laci Mize and grandmothers, Joann Chappell and Lois King. He will be forever cherished and remembered by all his nieces and nephews, Ty, Gavin, Jaelin, Olivia, Max, Liam, Maya, Natalie, and Cole. Mark loved his cousins Crystal, Loretta, Rachel, Allison, Josh, Jessica, and Justin and often said those were his best childhood memories. He is preceded in death by his Grandfather, Hubert Chappell who loved his little Buck and Great Grandmother Nootsie who loved him the “mostest”.
A Celebration of Life will be held on June 22, 2024, 10:30am at Parkview Church, 5435 Belle Terre Parkway, Palm Coast, Florida 32137.
