Gloria Calobrisi went back to heaven on Jan.27, 2022 from whence this kind, peaceful soul was sent to us. She grew up in Borough Park, Brooklyn NY and moved to Long Island NY with her husband, Lew Calobrisi. Together they raised three children, Lewis, Lauren and James Calobrisi. Her daughter passed away in this same month in 2015.
Gloria’s love for words was expressed in her years as an elementary school reading aide, her gift for crossword puzzles, and her fondness with the Wheel of Fortune game show.
The words that describe her spirit will always remain with us- forgiving, loving, generous and thoughtful. Even during her battle with dementia this past year, she never failed to thank those who helped her. As long as she was able she prayed the Rosary and remained a good Catholic.
A memorial Mass will be celebrated in St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, Palm Coast on Saturday February 12 at 11:00 AM. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until the time of the Mass in the Memorial Room of the Church. Then Gloria will join her daughter’s side at Craig-Flagler Palms Memorial Gardens.
