Deborah (Debby) Oney Klarich Petty, 71, went to be with the Lord on July 17, 2020. She was born December 16, 1948, in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Norman Oney and Romayne Harvey Oney Morris. Debby graduated from Miami Carroll City Senior HS, Class of 1966. Following graduation, she went to Miami Dade Junior College and then joined TWA as a flight attendant.
Married Bill Petty in 2008 after writing him a note in match.com. They were married on “our beach” in Flagler Beach, Florida. In high school Debby was a cheerleader, editor of the school yearbook and participated in the swim team and the drama club. Debby loved to travel; her high school friends started their own travel club. Annually they would meet in the Souths most historic cities. She loved taking walks around where they were staying.
Being a member of First Baptist Church of Bunnell for 9 years. She was the leader of Hearts & Crafts. The group made prayer shawls, helmet liners for troops overseas, newborn blankets and the group participated in The Annual Church Rummage Sale. Debby also worked with the children in Awana’s on Wednesdays, Hope House Ministries and held several committee positions thru out her tenure.
Predeceased by her parents, 1st husband, John Klarich of California; her stepson, J David Klarich II of California. Her two aunts, Irene Oney Kocher and Marion Oney Odell. Survivors are her husband Bill Petty of Flagler Beach; her two stepdaughters, Rebecca Klarich of Santa Barbara CA and Rachel Klarich Carson of Phoenix AZ and her son Zachery Klarich of Orlando. Grandchildren are Ryan Neuman and Sydney Klarich Proctor. Brother, Blaine Oney of Fort Pierce, FL and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
