On Sunday, December 4, 2022, Alison Dean Rimer, loving widow and mother of two, passed away peacefully at the age of sixty-eight. Born in New Albany, Indiana, the family moved to Littleton, Colorado where Alison and her two sisters, Rebecca and Stacy grew up. Their father, John C. Riely was the owner of Riely Furniture Company. Their mother, Margery Riely was a homemaker and worked in the family business as well as teaching economics at Arapahoe Community College, where Alison received an Associate’s Degree in Business. After graduating, she worked for Bell South Telephone Company.
Alison married the late Jeffrey Rimer, and they had two sons, James and Jonathan. The family, along with Alison’s parents, moved to Palm Coast, FL. With her dedication to others, it wasn’t long before she started volunteering her time to the community. You could often see her at the local public library, the Republican Party Headquarters, her beloved church, and the media center at her granddaughter Amelia’s school. Alison was the type of person who was there to help others in any way that she could, and you could always count on her to be there. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt, but most of all she was a friend. She will be missed by many.
Alison is survived by her two sons, Jon and James Rimer, daughter-in-law LeeAnn Rimer, granddaughter Amelia, and her two sisters Rebecca Malouf (husband Rick, daughters Andrea and Laura and their families) and Stacy Pardue (husband Sam, daughter Caitlin, son Taylor and his wife Rachel).
Funeral services will be at Craig Flagler Palms Funeral Home at 511 Old Kings Road, S. Flagler Beach. Visitation is at 1 PM and the funeral is at 2 PM.
