Mayra L. Vargas

Mayra was born August 5, 1966 in Ensenada, B.C. She was a resident of Ventura county for 47 years.

Mayra worked as a Hairdresser for four years. She worked for the Oxnard Police Department as a records clerk for ten years. She then worked for the Ventura Police Department as a records clerk for twelve years, where she loved working with all the friends she made there. Mayra spent over 20 years in her occupation.

Mayra loved spending time with her family. She was a fun loving spirit who loved to laugh and had a great time wherever she went. She will best be remembered for her kind heart, sweet smile, infectious laugh and wonderful sense of humor. She always told people to “Smile!”

Mayra is preceded in death by her daughter Janessa Anais Vargas. Mary is survived by her parents Manuel and Socorro Montanño, her husband of 33 years Juan Vargas, her sons Juan Manual Vargas (Lilia), Esteban Vargas (Jazmine), her Nina Evelia Downs, grandchildren Pedro and Zitlaly and her four dogs pequeña, pirunga, Georgia and sparky. As well as numerous extended family members who loved her so dearly!

She will forever be in our hearts and prayers.
