Steven Michael Richards

Steven Michael Richards, 61, formerly of Fayetteville, WV, passed away on April 6, 2016 in Lafayette, LA. Born on June 12, 1954 at Oak Hill, WV; he was the son of the late Harry L. and Helen Jacobs Richards. Steven graduated from Fayetteville High School and attended Marshall University. While in high school, Steven worked cleaning the local airport hangar in return for flying lessons and advanced to the point that he was able to fly solo. After leaving college, he had a career as a machinist in Tulsa, OK. Recently, Steven had retired to Louisiana where he enjoyed the warm weather, the Cajun cuisine and the company of good friends. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Don Lee Richards. He is survived by his sister, Barbara J. Richards of Lafayette, LA; one aunt, Arlene Gordon of Pryor, OK; and numerous cousins. In keeping with Steven’s wishes he will be laid to rest in the family plot at Huse Memorial Park, Fayetteville, WV.
