A proud US Navy Veteran, born in Massachusetts to Hazel Dube, he came to West Virginia and owned a construction business.
While building his future mother-in-law’s house, he met his wife of 50 years, Carolyn.
During the early years, Bob and Carolyn decided to open an Auction and Factory Discount store “The Auction House” where they worked side by side for 44 years. Along the way, he received his auctioneers license and loved running the auctions every Saturday night until COVID. They then just opened the store and he enjoyed talking and telling jokes with the customers.
Preceding him in death were his mother and sister.
He is survived by his loving wife, Carolyn; daughters, Nancy (Buddy) McKinney and Sherry Taylor and son, Larry Taylor. He was grandpa to Whitney, Scott, Bob, Carrie, Caitlyn and Elissa and great-grandpa to Samantha, Ty, Dalanee, and Hank; a special nephew, Wesley Hall, who was like his son.
He is also survived by brother-in-law, Harold (Pat) Hall, Donald Hall and Pat Walker. His faithful fur babies, Fuzzy, Midnight, Lady & Shadow, who never strayed far from his side.
He also leaves behind many friends made along the way.
