Margie Eloise Tygrett

The illumination of all things beautiful in this world results from the collective focus of many individual beacons - purity, truth, wisdom and love being but a few. The illumination pales somewhat today as the beacon of Margie E. Tygrett no longer shines in this world. Margie has departed this world to once again join her husband, Kenny and her parents, C.P and Elizabeth Morrison. Together they now cast their collective lights toward their survivors, illuminating a pathway for them to one day follow. Margie was also preceded in death by her brothers Carl and Jerril Morrison and great grandson, Jeffrey Elder. Remaining behind to cherish the memory and follow the examples left by Margie are her three children, Kay Bess and her husband Claude and Christy Bryant of Fayetteville, WV and Ken Tygrett and his wife Christie of Valparaiso, IN. Blessings fell like sweet rain upon Margie in the form of 6 grandchildren; Ashley Thomas, Michelle Cox and husband Chad, Tanya Elder and husband Donald, Josh Bryant and wife Christina – all of Fayetteville, WV, Casey Tygrett and wife Holley of Tinley Park, IL and Hillary Gore and husband Chris of Bealeton, VA. Margie was additionally blessed with fourteen great grandchildren; Kayleigh Jo Nicholson, Mollie Thomas, Jacey Mitchell, Aidan and Addison Cox, Devon, Kaylee Beth and Kayden Elder, Case, Jayden and Jenna Bryant, Bailey Tygrett and Carter and Adalyn Gore. Surviving siblings of Margie are Gaytha Drabenstott of Orville, OH, Jean Tygrett of Ripley, WV, Norma McVey and Marge Vaadi of Sarasota, FL, Karen Dunn of Ft. Myers, FL, Gary Morrison of Rocky Mount, NC, and Jean Tygrett of Ripley, WV. Margie lived in Fayetteville, WV for more than 67 years and it would be impossible to count the number of individuals that were touched by her beauty, her stoic grace and the love she shared for her family and friends. From lifting her voice to sing God’s praises as a member of the Methodist Church choir to the unselfish giving of her time and energies to ensure that none in her family and circle of friends was ever left wanting. It is to be understood that while illumination is comprised of the sum of all beacons, Margie’s beacon may have shone just a little brighter than others. The family would like to extend a special expression of love to Daniel and Debbie Franklin and their children, Hannah and John Daniel. As Margie’s neighbors they watched over her, making sure that she was safe and secure. Special thanks are also extended to the staff of The Summit assisted living facility for the love, care and compassion they extended to Margie during her stay. In lieu of flowers the family requests that monetary donations be made in her honor to the Fayetteville Food Pantry, PO Box 33, Fayetteville, WV 25840. Margie, Mom, Mother, Gran, by whatever name she was known, she will be missed. Funeral services will be held at 1 PM, Tuesday, November 10, 2015 at Dodd-Payne-Hess Funeral Home, Fayetteville, with Charlie Garvin officiating. Burial to follow at Huse Memorial Park, Fayetteville. The family will receive friends one hour before the funeral Tuesday at the funeral home.
