She was born on September 11, 1938 to Charles and Clara Gibson in Charleston WV.
She married her sweetheart, Fred Thomas Bragg in 1957. Together they raised five children Frank Edward(Joyce), Deborah Ann, Michael Allen, Cindy Lynn (Dennis), and Fred Thomas, Jr (Malinda). They lived most of their married life in Fayetteville, West Virginia.
Frances had eleven grandchildren. Jeffrey, Tracey (Jeremy), Megan (Michael), Brandon (Jessica), Scott (Stephanie), Frank, Jr. (Jessie), Brianna (William), Bryan (Aimee), Michael (Erin), Holly, and Allyson (Roger). She had seventeen great-grandchildren. She considered Patricia Osborne and Charlotte Hardin her honorary daughters. She also had many people who considered her a mom, aunt, sister, grandmother, and friend, especially the Wood Road kids.
She had quite the love for flowers, her garden, and birds. Her home flower garden was one of her favorite places to be, and it was admired by many. In her last days, she found so much joy in watching birds eat from her bird feeder as it snowed.
Her legacy is her love and care for all of those around her. She never met a stranger and everyone knew how much she cared for and genuinely loved them. Frances was also a caregiver to many. Her close knit family learned how to love and take care of one another from her and Fred’s family values and traditions. She loved when her house was full with her loved ones sharing a meal, watching football games being loud and loving, cookouts, birthday parties, swimming , and especially her Christmas Eve party. They, along with everyone else, will greatly miss her.
There will be no service at this time. Anyone wishing to make a donation in her memory
should send it to Bowers Hospice House.
