Erin Elizabeth Larsen

Erin Elizabeth Larsen, age 42, of Fayetteville, West Virginia passed away suddenly after an accident on August 27, 2024. She was born in Baltimore, Maryland on October 24, 1981 to Diane and Lauren Larsen, the youngest of two, Christopher being her older brother. She grew up in Severna Park, Maryland and upon graduation pursued a pre-med degree at Virginia Tech University.

From an early age, Erin knew she wanted to be involved in "health," but originally assumed this meant going the route of Western medicine. In 2001, after a cycling accident she found yoga, which ultimately shaped her amazing career, lifestyle, and being. Since that first yoga class in 2001, Erin amassed over two thousand hours of training in Yoga, Thai Bodywork, Holistic Health Coaching and two degrees in science - Biology and The Science of Food, Nutrition and Exercise from Virginia Tech (with a minor in chemistry.) All that science and knowledge about the body gave her a strong launchpad for refining her focus on holistic health and wellness.

In recent years Erin has been focusing on leading wellness retreats across the globe, training others in Thai Bodywork, hosting women’s retreats, and holding space for those in need. She amassed a unique body of knowledge and taught others in a way that only she could. Erin was, at her core, a teacher.

Erin and her husband Landon Evans spent more than a decade in love after meeting in 2011. They were finally married on September 19, 2020 and have spent the past 4 years building a beautiful life together. They enjoyed being immersed in nature, eating good food, traveling the world, tending to their gardens and their properties, taking on big projects together, and loving on each other as well as their beloved dogs Bela and Osa.

When she wasn't in her studio or hosting a retreat, she loved cooking, gardening, paddle boarding, hiking with friends, climbing, mountain biking, and dreaming up their next big adventure.

Erin is survived by her loving husband Landon; her beloved dog Osa; stepfather Martin Gransky; grandmother Jeanne Volz; brother Christopher (Jessica) Larsen; nephews Ethan and Miles; aunts Deborah and Drucinda; and uncle David Volz. In addition to her parents, Erin was preceded in death by her grandfather Charles Volz.
