Ronia J. Carr

Ronia (Roni) Jane Carr was born on July 21,1940, to Mabel Crummer Shurman, and John (Jack) Shurman in Washington D.C., and spent most of her life in the Northern Virginia/D.C. area. She passed peacefully on May 25th, 2024, at Hilltop Assisted Living Facility in Winchester, Virginia. Roni is survived by her two daughters, Kimberly (Struck) O’Dell, Virginia (Lampmann) Reib, three Grandchildren, Jessica Coble, Breanna Hunt, Jacob Hunt and one Great Granddaughter, Ashley Gonzalez. She was predeceased by her husband, Richard I Carr in 2020. Throughout her life, Roni loved spending time with family and friends and all things animals and birds and was a long-time member of the Audubon Society. A private memorial service for family and friends will be held at 10:00AM on June 27, 2024, at National Memorial Park & King David Memorial Gardens in Falls Church, Va. May Roni’s spirit continue to guide us through life’s journey. She will forever remain in our hearts.
