Koklip Trang

Mr. Trang was a devoted husband to Mrs. Hun Chhiv Ong for 57 years and loving father to daughter, Kim Yen Trang and son, David Trang.

Mr. Trang is also survived by his beloved son-in-law, Kolin Andrew Fischer and daughter-in-law, Hong-Yen Pham. He adored his grandchildren: Emma Lee Fischer, James Alexander Fischer, Ava Trang, Ethan Trang, and Audrey Trang.

Mr. Trang lived a life dedicated to his family, nurturing each member with boundless love, wisdom, and generosity. He was known for his strength, courage, and determination to overcome all of life’s challenges he faced. Having survived the Cambodian Civil War, he worked hard alongside his wife to live the American dream.

His tough love was a guiding light, always accompanied by wise advice that shaped the lives of those around him. An artist at heart, he expressed his creativity through oil paintings, ice carvings, gardening, and showcase dishes he prepared leaving behind a legacy of beauty. Above all, he cherished his family and found immeasurable joy in the love of his grandchildren. His legacy will forever live on through his children, family, and all those whose lives he touched.

Mr. Trang will be dearly missed but forever remembered for the love and wisdom he shared with all fortunate enough to know him.

A celebration of Mr. Trang’s life will be held at National Funeral Home & Memorial Park at 7482 Lee Hwy, Falls Church, VA, 22042 on Sunday, January 21, 2024, at 8:30 AM.
