She was married to Peter Hoc Tran on June 5, 1950 in Bong Son, Binh Dinh Province, Vietnam. They celebrated their 64th Wedding Anniversary this past June. In Fall of 2013, Elizabeth and Peter moved to Oregon, settling in the Gaston to reside with their eldest daughter, Tweena Casey and family.
She was an exceptional cook and loved to entertain. She was an active member in the main choir at the Vietnamese Martyr Church in Arlington, Virginia. Her signature songs were "Truc Dao", a Vietnamese love song and Besame Mucho in a French version. Elizabeth was a strong supporter of the Vietnamese priestly vocation with her financial contribution.
