Joel Lozano 95, of Falls Church, VA passed away February 4, 2016. He is survived by he devoted children Alma (Randall) Lozano Baxter, and Patricia (John Keith) Lozano Hicks; grandchildren, Vincent (Gina) P. Baxter, Michael A. Baxter, Jenna Joelle Hicks, and John Patrick Hicks; and great grandchildren, Stuart Hoxie Baxter and Peter Lozano Baxter. Joel was preceded in death by his wife, Enriqueta Vela Lozano.
Joel was born in Harlingen, Texas. He attend the University of Texas where he earned a degree in Chemical Engineering. He later attended Army Corps of Engineers at Ft. Belvoir which started his career as a petroleum engineer. As an engineer he worked from 1946-1962 in Venezuela, Ardmore, OK, and Kansas. He then became Assistant Division Superintendent of Employee Relations in Tulsa, OK. And finally retired as Division Superintendent of Employee Relations in Midland, Texas.In 1990 Joel relocated to Falls Church, VA where he was a long time member of The Knights of Columbus and was an avid University of Texas Longhorn football fan.
