Dear Oma Your incredible spirit touched so many lives; we are forever grateful for your beautiful heart and the lessons you taught us all about grace, staying focused on what truly matters, and most importantly, making sure no one left your house hungry. We know you are smiling down on all of us, and making sure everyone in heaven is having coffee and cake.
Gertrud was an incredible wife, mother, sister, and friend. We will love and miss you forever and ever.
Gertrud Haas Ghabel is survived by her husband, Ali Akbar Ghabel; her son, Steven Ali Ghabel, and his wife, Lida Mousavi Khoshdel; her daughter, Christine (Tina) Ghabel Donahoo, and her husband, Brent Collins Donahoo. She was a proud grandmother known as Oma to Jack Collins Donahoo, Wilhelm (Will) Haas Donahoo, and Armin Ghabel.
A graveside service for Gertrud will be held Sunday, December 22, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at National Memorial Park, 7482 Lee Highway, Falls Church, VA 22042.
