Doris E. Pennington

On Thursday, December 25, 2014 at her home in McLean, Va. She is survived by her loving son, Richard and daughter-in-law Leslie; her three grandchildren whom she adored: Erin, Adam and Alex and her devoted companion, Wally Fetterolf. She is also survived by her siblings Joe Buckingham, Mary Kay Green, Jan Gilbert; nephews Bob Green, Barry Buckingham, Glen Buckingham and niece Jessica Gilbert Bates. She was preceded in death by several beloved family members: husband, Phil Pennington, son Officer Philip Michael Pennington, and a grandson, Michael Wayne Pennington. Friends may visit Murphy Funeral Home (1102 West Broad Street, Falls Church, Va) on Sunday, January 4th from 10:30 until the start of the service at noon. A reception will follow the service. Burial will be at Arlington National Cemetery on Friday, March 13, 2015 at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Prince William County Police Survivors Trust, 6012 Omega Lane, Manassas, VA 20112.
