Donald held many positions throughout his professional career, which included working for a moving company and later a trash company. However, Donald found his passion and furthered his career with the Fairfax County Public Schools Systems where he retired from with more than 25 years of faithful service.
Donald married the love of his life Darlene Williams of Amissville, VA on July 16, 1983 after two years of dating. From this union they were blessed with two children, Vincent and Valerie who were both loved unconditionally.
His greatest passion and love was spending time with his family, traveling, art and singing. Often times and occasionally his sister would join him as they would sing together. Donald learned how to play guitar from a family friend which he enjoyed a lot. He also enjoyed watching movies too. Donald had a very beautiful soul; he would do anything for anyone. He had a heart of gold and a lot of people could learn from his kindness. He will truly be missed.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Catherine Williams, his beloved wife of 36 years, Darlene Williams who was called home to the Lord in 2019.
Peacefully on January 2, 2022 while at home, Donald was called from a life of labor to a life of reward.
He leaves to cherish his memory and legacy his two children, Vincent Williams and Valerie Williams; his sister, Dinah Harris (Roland); his two grandchildren, Breylen Davis and Keion Edmonds; his nephews, Roland & Chevron Harris, his sister-in-laws, Bonnie Holland (Barry) and Stacey Smith (Shawn); his brother-in-law, Gary King, and a host of other relatives and friends.
A visitation for Donald will be held Saturday, January 29, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at National Funeral Home, 7482 Lee Highway, Falls Church, VA 22042, followed by a funeral service from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM.
