Originally from Lizemores, West Virginia, Don married the love of his life in 1970, and they enjoyed 47 years together in Northern Virginia. They spent time with family and friends, and caring for their many beloved animals. Don served our national security as a computer programmer and expert for the Department of Defense for more than 30 years. He was also a lifelong auctioneer, raising funds for many charity organizations, including numerous schools and Hospice.
Don is survived by his loving wife, Carol; his daughter, Caryn, husband, Richard, and one grandson, Silas, whom he adored and spoiled rotten; his son, Garrett, and wife, Jesita; and his brother, Mack. We will all miss him terribly.
He is predeceased by his beautiful daughter, Katie; his mother, Virginia; his father, Garrett; his sister, Carole; and his brothers W.T. and Gary.
The family will receive friends from 10AM to 12PM on Friday, May 4, 2018 at National Funeral Home, 7482 Lee Highway, Falls Church, Virginia 22042.
