David Arthur Fantaci passed away on March 10, 2024, in Arlington, Virginia. He was born October 15, 1954, finished Robert E. Lee Elementary School and Swanson Junior High School, and graduated from Yorktown High School in 1972 and from Virginia Tech in 1976. For the greater part of his career, he worked in the financial industry for various banks, and finally with the Bank of America in banking and investments.
David was a resident of in Arlington, Virginia since grade school. He was an avid sports fan, especially for Virginia Tech, the NY Giants, and the Washington Nationals. He also loved completing the Washington Post crossword (in ink), music, playing cards, and going to the Delaware shore with friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Anthony John Fantaci and Shirley Moose Fantaci, and sister-in-law Barbara O’Halloran Fantaci, wife of John. He is survived by his brothers, John Anthony Fantaci of Kettering, Ohio, James Michael Fantaci (Ellen Steman) of Metairie, Louisiana, and Thomas Edward Fantaci (Jane Kemper) of Bealeton, Virginia; his nieces and nephews, Todd Fantaci (Kimberly), Kimberlee Fantaci, Kristin Hilty (Lee), William Fantaci (Lisa), Michael Fantaci, Matthew Fantaci (Skye), Thomas Fantaci and Christina Fantaci, and numerous relatives.
The family wishes to thank the staff at The Jefferson in Assisted Living and of the Heartland Hospice for their care of David. We also thank his close friends who supported him to the end.
In accordance with David’s wishes, he was cremated, and services are private.
