Carlenus Carl Robinette

Carl was born in Pikesville, Kentucky on October 30, 1946. During his teen years his family moved to the Northern Virginia area where he served a short term in the US Marine Corps.

Carl met the love of his life, Elizabeth Anne in Washington, DC. He was from Kentucky, she was from Ireland. Two small towns located in different parts of the world completely unknown to each other. Their union was destined. They married on July 2, 1966 and they were married for 46 years.

Carl worked at the Rayburn building on Capitol Hill for 9 years. He then changed careers and worked as a House Painter for more than 20 years. Carl enjoyed a simple life. Cooking was a lifelong hobby, vegetable gardens, the Redskins and his biggest joy the beauty of the Beach. He also enjoyed the company of his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Carl is survived by his devoted wife Anne, his brother Jim Robinette and sister-in-law Joan; His three children Tina Colbert of Fairmount Heights, MD, Carlenus Robinette II (Rob) of South Riding, Va and Shannon Soria of Manassas, Va; nephew Jeffrey Robinette, thirteen grandchildren, five great grandchildren - in addition to extended family and friends.

Carl is preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Nora and his siblings Joye, Larry and Ezra.
