Born in Fall River, a daughter of the late John A. and M. Loretta (Shea) Flynn, she had been a lifelong resident of the city.
A graduate of B.M.C. Durfee High School, class of 1958, she shortly thereafter joined First Federal Savings Bank as a Teller. Her strong work ethic and innate ability to problem solve elevated her to the position of Senior Vice President, a standing she held until her retirement in 2005.
Sheila belonged to numerous organizations and committees during her career, most notable The Richard Magan Memorial Trust.
In addition to her husband of 43 years, she is survived by her three loving sisters Judith Lipson and her husband Richard of Middleboro, Joan Dyer of Fall River, Patricia Freitas and her late husband Ronald of Fall River, many nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews whose lives benefited from her strong love of family. She was sister of the late Elizabeth Gendreau.
