Shawn M. Holden, age 54 of Fall River, passed away Thursday, December 29, 2022 at St. Anne’s Hospital. Born in Fall River, a son of Paul P. Holden Sr. of Hingham and the late Jean M. (Watkinson) Holden, he had been a lifelong resident of the city.
He attended B.M.C. Durfee High School and worked as a Laborer for many years. An avid Boston sports fan, he was also known as “the fantasy football guru” with numerous championships under his belt. In addition, he also enjoyed working out at the gym, especially with his youngest son, Jamison. He was a proud Irish-Catholic, a man of strong faith, and could always be relied upon for sound advice. A very sentimental man, his best times were spent with his family and friends, making everyone laugh through his natural story-telling ability.
In addition to his father, he is survived by five children: Alexis Garcia of Fall River; Kyle and Michael Holden, both of Tampa, FL; Megan and Jamison Holden, both of Fall River; his five brothers: Paul P. Holden, Jr. and his wife Amy, of Clifton, VA; Richard J. Holden and his wife Kim, of Plymouth; Joseph C. Holden and his wife Cheryl, of Fall River; Kevin J. Holden of Fall River; Michael P. Holden and his wife Kristi, of Hingham; his five grandchildren: Mia, Cameron, and Mariah Garcia, Azaiah and Aaryn Lenox Holden and many nieces and nephews.
His funeral will be held on Monday, January 9, 2023 at 9:30AM from the Waring-Sullivan Home at Cherry Place, 178 Winter St., Fall River, followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00AM in Good Shepherd Parish, 1598 South Main Street, Fall River, MA 02724.
