Born in Fall River, she was the beloved daughter of the late Arnold and Maria (Ponte) Furtado.
Pamela was a graduate of the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy, where she earned her
Bachelor’s degree before dedicating many years to a career as a compassionate and skilled
pharmacist. Beyond her professional life, Pamela was an avid reader with a love for literature.
She also found joy in expressing her creativity through painting. Her deep affection for animals,
particularly cats, was well known to those who loved her. Above all, she cherished her role as a
mother and loved her son, James, deeply.
Pamela is survived by her son, James Kilgus; her two brothers, Ronald Furtado and his wife
Kelly, and Gary Furtado, both of Somerset; her two sisters, Cindy Martin and her
husband Gerry of Beverly Hills, FL, and Susan Ladkins of Mississippi, as well as one step-brother, Brent Tharrett.
In keeping with Pamela’s wishes, her funeral services will be private.
Pamela will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
