Born in Fall River, a daughter of the late Joseph L. and Medora (Epel) Dionne, she was a lifelong resident of the city.
A graduate of B.M.C. Durfee High School, Ms. Moniz was employed as an administrative assistant in the legal department for an Insurance Company.
Very active with animal welfare, she was a supporter of Mercy for Animals, a member of the Fall River Coalition for Animal Awareness, and was a volunteer at local animal shelters. She was a member of the South Coast Community Chorale.
She is survived by two daughters: Jennifer L. Boulay of Fall River and Catherine A. Moniz of Jamaica Plain, two granddaughters: Medora M. LaPlante and Avery K. Boulay both of Fall River. She was sister of the late David Dionne.
Her Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, January 7, 2015 at 5:00PM in the WARING-SULLIVAN HOME OF MEMORIAL TRIBUTE at CHERRY PLACE, 178 Winter Street, Fall River. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday January 6, 2015 from 4:00 to 7:00PM. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her honor may be made to Forever Paws, 300 Lynwood Street, Fall River, MA. 02721. Burial private.
