I never had the pleasure of meeting Miss Dunn but she was a teacher for my mother and father at Berwick Academy in South Berwick, Maine.  My mother always spoke very highly of her and corresponded with her on several occasions.  When my mother went into assisted living, I wrote to Miss Dunn and shared my mother's situation.  I received the nicest, kindest response from her.  My mother always told me how Miss Dunn treated her and my father.  I tried to correspond with Miss Dunn when my mother passed away several years ago to thank her for her love and kindness.  However, she was no longer at her Fall River address.  So to the family of Miss Dunn, she was an amazing lady who impacted many lives at Berwick Academy in South Berwick, Maine prior to moving back to MA.  I just found Grace's obituary online and wanted to share our story about her impact during her life.  I wish I had an opportunity to meet her in person.  I know my parents greeted her with open arms in heaven. Debbie White

Oh how I remember her as a wonderful typing teacher at Durfee back in  the 60's. I worked for a local physician 
who Ms. Dunn saw and even after not seeing each other for over 40 years she recognized me right away and called me by my maiden name. Remarkable  woman! 

I had Miss Dunn as my Bookkeeping teacher at Durfee.  I went on to being a bookkeeper for over forty years.  She was a wonderful and caring person. Rest In Peace.


I got to know Grace in her later years.  She was a lovely person, gracious,  with a twinkle in her eyes.  We participated in a fitness class  for a number of years .  Once a polka played she was all smiles as she got right into it!  It was a pleasure to know her.

I was lucky to have known Grace Dunn all my life. She was close friends with my Aunty Yolande since they were in college together. It was a wonderful friendship that lasted decades. She was a kind and caring person. Always a pleasure to be with. May you be at peace. I wish sympathy to her family. 

I remember Ms. Dunn from high school, she taught typing and I always remembered her fondly.

My favorite teacher at Durfee High School in the 1950's.  Because of her diligent and knowledgeable instructions I went on to a business career for fifty years in Fall River.  Thank You, Miss Dunn.


In 1964, when I first began teaching at Durfee, Miss Dunn was a sweet and gracious lady, always patient and understanding of a 22-year-old fledgling colleague who was just learning about his new profession. Even though we were in different departments, she welcomed me as if I had been her dearest friend. To this day, I consider her a "class act."
Rest in peace, Grace. Your rewards will be great.
