Born in Fall River, a son of the late August L. and Dominica (Tetuan) Medeiros, he was a lifelong resident of the city.
Butch attended B.M.C. Durfee High School before enlisting in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War and served for over thirty years. He worked as a HVAC Technician at Naval Underwater Systems for over twenty five years before retiring.
Mr. Medeiros was a member of the Blessed Trinity National Church for many years. A dedicated animal lover, he was known for advocating the spaying, neutering and saving lives of homeless and stray animals.
He is survived by one son, Jeffrey A. Medeiros and his companion Dana Coute of Fall River; three grandchildren, Nathan T. Medeiros, Courtney A. McQuaid and Michael J. Medeiros, three great grandchildren, Riley, Declan and Collin Medeiros. He was the father of the late Michael V. Medeiros.
His Funeral will be held on Tuesday March 8, 2022 at 11:00 AM in the Waring-Sullivan Home at Cherry Place, 178 Winter St., Fall River. Relatives and friends invited. Visitation prior to his service from 9:00 to 11:00 AM.
