Zoila G. Lopez entered into eternal rest on Friday, November 6, 2015 at a Nursing Home in Falfurrias, Texas at the age of 88. She was born on January 31, 1927 to Emeterio Gomez and Maria Del Refugio Flores in Guerra, Texas. Zoila was a member of the Immaculada Concepcion Church in Hebbronville, Texas. She was also instrumental in raising money for the construction of the church and one of the first presidents of the Immaculada Concepcion society. Zoila was also a member of the Our Lady of Guadalupe parish community.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Antonio Lopez; daughter, Armandina Lopez Ortiz; brother, Mauro R. Gomez and sister-in-law, Elva G. Gomez. She leaves behind to cherish her memories her son, Antonio (Carmen) Lopez, Jr. of Mission, Texas; daughters, Belia (Ramiro) Cremar of Hebbronville and Maria Eva (Miguel) Perez of Premont, Texas; brothers, Manuel Rene Gomez of Bruni, Texas and Francisco (Nydia) G. Gomez of Houston, Texas; sister-in-law, Carmen Jasso Gomez of Hebbronville; 11 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren.
Pallbearers for the services will be her grandsons.
Holy Rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 10, 2015 at Funeraria Del Angel Howard-Williams in Hebbronville. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 on Wednesday, November 11, 2015 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Hebbronville. Interment will follow at the New Hebbronville Cemetery.
