Rafaela Saenz Villarreal

Rafaela S. Villarreal passed away on Monday, December 2, 2024 at her residence in Falfurrias, Texas at the age of 84. She was born on February 10, 1940 to Domingo Saenz and Santos Garza in Falfurrias, Texas.

Rafaela was a retired landlord.

Rafaela was reunited in Heaven with her parents; daughter, Veronica Lee Martinez; son, Arturo Villarreal Jr.; siblings, Encarnacion Carrasco, Eliodoro Saenz, Maria Barrera, Domitila Medrano, Santos Perez, Rosa Pena, Gilberto Saenz, Fortino Saenz and Emma Vela.

She is survived by her husband, Arturo Villarreal, sons, Porfirio Martinez Jr. of Little Rock, Arkansas, Casimiro Martinez of Falfurrias, Texas and Paul Martinez of Magnolia, Texas; daughters, Jacqueline Martinez (Jimmy Alviar) of Mansfield, Texas, Morticha Chapa of Falfurrias, Texas, Franchesca (Manuel) Salazar of San Antonio, Texas; grandchildren she raised as her own, Deborah Kaye (Mathew) Story of Falfurrias, Texas, Miguel (Laura) Lozano, Marsha (George) Anzaldua, Genieva Anzaldua, Morticha Anzaldua and Andrew Cosby; four brothers, Domingo (Maria) Saenz, Jr., of Tivoli, Texas, Robert Saenz of Falfurrias, Texas, Jose Humberto Saenz of San Antonio, Texas, Pedro (Gerri) Cruz of Osceola, Indiana; a sister, Juanita Bozarth of Corpus Christi, Texas; 26 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members.

Pallbearers will be Aaron Gonzalez, Casimiro Martinez Jr., Carlos Martinez, Rudy Martinez, Derrick M. Garcia, Charlie Story, Mathew Story Jr., Miguel Lozano and Mark Lozano.

Rosary will be held at 9:15 a.m. on Saturday, December 7, 2024 at the Funeraria Del Angel Howard Williams in Falfurrias with visitation beginning at 8:30 a.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, December 7, 2024 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Falfurrias. Burial will follow at the Falfurrias Burial Park.
