Oscar “El Buffalo” Ramirez, Jr. entered into eternal rest on Saturday, August 31, 2019 in Corpus Christi, Texas at the age of 69. He was born on September 2, 1949 to Oscar Ramirez and Margarita Mendez Ramirez in Falfurrias, Texas. Oscar formerly worked as a Truck Driver and Foreman for the Zarsky Lumber Company and retired after 39 years of dedicated service. He was a man who loved his family dearly and was very proud of his children and grandchildren. Oscar enjoyed listening to music, playing poker and dove hunting. Although he became ill, he remained strong in his faith and spirits.
His parents precede him in death.
Oscar is survived by his wife, Enedina Perez Ramirez of Falfurrias; three sons, Lamar (Patty) Ramirez of Edinburg, Omar (Yesenia) Ramirez of San Antonio and Noel (Diane) Ramirez of Falfurrias; brother, Raul Ramirez of Corpus Christi; sister, Lupita Ramirez (Ruben) De Leon of Falfurrias; six grandchildren, Aaron Andrew Ramirez, Valentina Mia Ramirez, Destiny Taylor Ramirez, Aliyah Lamar Ramirez, Ava Noel Ramirez and Noel Ramirez, Jr.; two great-grandchildren, Mila Rae Ramirez and Dax Ryan Ramirez and many nieces, nephews and extended family members and friends.
Pallbearers will be Derek De Leon, JV Rivera, Aaron Ramirez, Carlos Perez, Aaron Perez and Enemencio “Mencho” Lopez.
Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 3, 2019 at the Funeraria Del Angel Howard Williams in Falfurrias with Visitation beginning at 5:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, September 4, 2019 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Falfurrias. Burial will follow at the Falfurrias Burial Park.
