Mario M. Garcia Sr.

Mario M. Garcia, Sr. entered into eternal rest on Thursday, August 22, 2024 at his residence in Encino, Texas at the age of 70. He was born May 6, 1954 to Luis Garcia and Safira Morales Garcia in Corpus Christi, Texas. Mario, along with his wife Soila, was the owner and operator of Elite Fiberglass Repair in Palm Hearst, Texas for over 20 years. Together, they also volunteered their time as youth ministers for the First United Methodist Church of Mission, Texas for more than 15 years. He was an animal lover and gushed over dogs and his horse, Cricket. He also loved music, especially oldies, and would have music playing from the time he woke up until the time he fell asleep.

Preceding Mario in death are his parents and two brothers, Armando and Luis Garcia.

Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Soila Benavidez Garcia of Encino; son, Mario (Rose) Garcia, Jr. of Donna, Texas; daughters, Gina (Daniel) Greenwood of Stafford, Virginia and Darlene Forage of Port St. Lucie, Florida; step-children, Michael Cantu, Erika Vaughn and Jeanette Cantu all of San Antonio, Texas; brother, Lamar (Tony) Garcia of Austin, Texas; sister, Gilma (Abram) Dominguez of Floresville, Texas; six grandchildren, one great-grandchild and numerous extended family members and friends.

The family will host a Memorial Service at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 14, 2024 at the First United Methodist Church in Mission, Texas.
