Mariana B. Rodriguez

After the passing of her mother in 1973, Maríana took on her mother’s successful business, Lala’s Café of Mirando City, which was established in 1953, and worked every day of her life at the café until the day of her passing. With customers coming from all parts of the United States and different parts of the world, Maríana kept busy with the daily demands of the never-ending customers.

She dedicated most of all her life, in preserving the legacy of Lala’s Café, therefore, she never married, but she loved her two nieces, San Juanita Rodriguez and Noemi Jackson, and her four nephews, Domingo (Laura) Rodriguez, Jorge (Alma) Rodriguez, Oscar (Monica) Rodriguez, Rodolfo (Claudine) Rodriguez, and her grandnephew Allen (Pauline) Jackson and grandniece Christina (Arturo) Valadez, and her three great-grand nieces, Cailyn Jackson, Lora Jolynn Jackson, Brooke Jackson, and two great-grand nephews, Lane Jackson and Mauricio Valadez, as if they were her own, she is also survived by many nieces, nephews, grand nieces,grand nephews and extended family and friends

Even though she was very busy with the café, Maríana kept active with the St. Agnes Catholic Church, as President of the Alter Society for many years. During her tenure, the Alter Society members were responsible for raising most of the funds needed in the building of the new St. Agnes Catholic Church in the early 1970’s.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Pedro Rodolfo Rodriguez, her sister-in-law, Guadalupe L. Rodriguez, and her grandniece, Lora Marie Jackson.

Pallbearers will be Christopher Rodriguez, Allen Jackson, Arturo Valadez, Ruben Ramon, Salvador Cantu, Ricardo Hernandez, Andrew Rodriguez and Mauricio Lopez

Rosary will be prayed at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, December 31, 2021 at the Funeraria Del Angel Howard Williams in Hebbronville with Visitation beginning at 8:30 a.m. Funeral Mass will follow at 11:00 a.m. at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Mirando City. Services will conclude at the Magnolia Cemetery in Mirando City
