Maria Cavazos Gutierrez passed away Tuesday, October 8, 2024 at a hospital in Alice, Texas at the age of 81. Maria known to family and friends as “Mary” was born to Daniel Cavazos and Paula Guerrero in Kingsville, Texas on December 3, 1942.
Mary was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her parents and son, Omar Guerrero.
Mary leaves behind to cherish her memories her husband, Ruben Gutierrez of Falfurrias; sons, Daniel Cavazos of Falfurrias, Ruben (Katy) Gutierrez Jr. of Corpus Christi, and Reno (Julie) Gutierrez; daughters, Janie Gonzalez of Houston and Marivel Gutierrez (Jose Armando) Soriano of Falfurrias; brother, Pete Cavazos of Kingsville; sister, Connie Buentello of Sarita; seventeen grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Rosary will be prayed at 7:00 PM on Friday, October 11, 2024, at the Funeraria Del Angel Howard Williams in Falfurrias with Visitation beginning at 5:00 PM. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Saturday, October 12, 2024 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Falfurrias and services will conclude with Burial at the Falfurrias Burial Park.
