Josefina A. Trevino

Josefina A. Trevino entered into eternal rest on Saturday, August 20, 2022 at a hospital in Alice, Texas at the age of 91. She was born on March 19, 1931 in the Palo Blanco Ranch in Zapata County, Texas to Julian Arredondo and Andrea Ramos Arredondo.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Aris Trevino; brothers, Miguel Arredondo,Victor Arredondo, Sr. and Jose Arredondo, Sr.; sisters, Maria A. Gonzalez, Dora A. Salinas and Gregoria “Goya” Perez; son-in-law, Roland Chapa and daughter-in-law Norma Trevino.

Josefina leaves behind many fond memories that will be cherished by her son, Lauro “Larry” Trevino of Hebbronville, Texas; daughter, Nora L. Chapa of Hebbronville; brother-in-law, Alonzo (Louisa) Trevino of Corpus Christi, Texas; sister-in-law, Ernestina I. Trevino of Hebbronville; seven grandchildren, Rhonda (Michael) Trevino LaVanway, Victoria Nicole Chapa, Laura (John) Trevino Becker, Marco Antonio Trevino, Lauro Omar Trevino, Jr., Yvette Trevino and Lloyd Aaron Trevino; 10 great-grandchildren, Jaiden Alyse LaVanway, Jordyn Grace LaVanway, Brianna Lee Becker, Brooke Lilian Becker, Brielle Lauren Becker, Marco Antonio Trevino, II, Michael Archangel Trevino, Alayna Gizelle Trevino, Derick Isaiah Morales and Braelynn Loraine Becker; numerous nieces and nephews and extended family members.

Pallbearers will be Marco Trevino, Lauro Omar Trevino, John Becker, Mike LaVanway, Robert "Bobby" Trevino and Sergio Perez. Honorary Pallbearers will be Rhonda Trevino LaVanway, Victoria Nicole Chapa, Laura Becker, Yvette Trevino and Lloyd Trevino.

A Rosary will be prayed at 8:30 a.m. on Thursday, August 25, 2022 at Funeraria Del Angel Howard Williams in Hebbronville with Visitation beginning at 8:00 a.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Burial will follow at the New Hebbronville Cemetery.
