Our beloved, Elia T. Carreon, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, November 9, 2021 at her son’s residence in Hebbronville, Texas, surrounded by her family, at the age of 95. She was born on December 23, 1925 in Hebbronville to Adolfo Trevino and Maria Vela Trevino. She was a member of the AARP of Hebbronville, and held various positions and was also a member of the Museum Foundation.
She enjoyed reading, sewing, knitting, needlepoint, and baking for her family. She loved being a wife and a mother to her children. She also enjoyed watching her grandchildren participate in various sport and academic events. Her greatest joy was watching her family grow.
She was reunited in Heaven with her parents; husband, Octavio Carreon; daughter, Laura Cavazos, and siblings, Erasmo Trevino and Estella C. Johnson.
Elia leaves behind many fond memories that will be forever treasured by her children, Hector (Noemi) Carreon of Edinburg, Texas, Elma (Octavio) Ramos and Alvaro (JoAnn) Carreon both of Hebbronville; grandchildren, Steven (Alma) Cavazos, Debra M. (Gerardo) Carpentier, Wendy (Alan) Trevino, Hector M. (Meagan) Carreon II, Pamela M. (Jason) Reyna, Carlos O. (Venessa) Carreon, Estevan J. (Deandra) Carreon; 17 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law Graciela S. Trevino and numerous extended family members and friends.
Pallbearers will be Steven Cavazos, Hector M. Carreon II, Carlos O. Carreon, Estevan J. Carreon, Alan Trevino, Jason D. Reyna and Gerardo Carpentier.
Rosary will be prayed at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, November 12, 2021 at the Funeraria Del Angel Howard-Williams in Hebbronville with Visitation beginning at 8:30 a.m. Funeral Mass will follow at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Hebbronville. Services will conclude with Burial at the New Hebbronville Cemetery.
