Carole Kay Holbein entered into enteral rest on Wednesday, October 13, 2021 at a nursing home in Hebbronville, Texas at the age of 79. She was born on June 20, 1942 to Mikle Joseph McNeal and Ernestine True McNeal in Alice, Texas. Carole was the Vice President for 777 Service Company as well as a Horse Trainer for Holbein Racing for several years. She was a remarkable wife, mother and grandmother who instilled many valuable qualities and lessons into her children and grandchildren.
Kay was a member of the St. James Episcopal Church in Hebbronville for many years and continuously had a strong sense of faith. She enjoyed shopping, needle point and gardening in her spare time. She was an Equestrian Rider and Hunter Jumper.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Alec Holbein; son, Donald Ray Holbein and sister, Nancy Drew.
Kay is survived by her two sons, Ricky Lee (Sandra) Holbein and Hans (Rebecca) Holbein; daughter, Debra Sue (Robert) Salinas all of Hebbronville; brothers, Mickey (Nita) McNeal of George West, Texas, Rockey (Cinda) Crews of Wylie, Texas; 10 grandchildren, Casey Joe and Alec Breiten, Lee, Gus, Kaitlyn, Hunter, Alec, Krystal, Michael and Justin Holbein many great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members.
Pallbearers will be grandsons, Casey Breiten, Alec Breiten, Lee Holbein, Gus Holbein, Hunter Holbein, Alec Holbein, Dylan Lee Holbein and Kelby Cole Holbein. Honorary Pallbearer will be her granddaughter, Kaitlyn Holbein.
Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday October 20, 2021 at the Funeraria Del Angel Howard-Williams in Hebbronville with Visitation beginning at 8:30 a.m. Services will conclude with Burial at the Holbein Family Cemetery in the Casa Blanca Ranch.
