Armando Guadalupe Huerta earned his wings on Thursday, July 9, 2020 at the age of 71. Armando was born on April 3, 1949 in Corpus Christi, Texas to Armando S. and Hulda E. Huerta. Armando was a devoted father and husband. His proudest accomplishments include his four children, being a Marine Vietnam Veteran and becoming an educator. Armando touched many lives as an educator and coach in many towns including Hebbronville, Bruni, Odem and Premont, Texas.
Armando is preceded in death by his parents, Armando Salas Huerta and Hulda Escobedo Huerta.
He is survived by his wife; Angelmira Solis Huerta and four children; Armando G. (Aimee Almaraz) Huerta, Jr. of Odem, Texas, Angelica (Cruz IV) Esquivel of Harlingen, Texas, Alejandro Huerta of Kingsville, Texas and Arturo Huerta of Hebbronville. He is also survived by five grandchildren; Alysel Noelle Huerta, Amelie Joelle Huerta, Armando Joel Huerta, Cruz Esquivel V, and Callen Armando Esquivel.
Surviving siblings include, Juan (Penny) Huerta of San Antonio, Texas, Sigifredo (Maria) Huerta of Austin, Texas, Velma (Joe Frank) Dimas of Hebbronville and Hulda (Manuel) Cruz of Hebbronville.
Pallbearers: Angel Cruz, Manuel Cruz III, Odell Dimas, Orlando Gonzalez, Juan Daniel Alonzo and Cruz Esquivel IV.
Holy Rosary will be recited at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, July 14, 2020 at Funeraria Del Angel Howard-Williams in Hebbronville. Funeral Mass will follow at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Hebbronville with services concluding at the New Hebbronville Cemetery.
