 Bob i am so sorry about your loss Ruth and i spent many calls and surg. cases together i have lost track of her because of my move to ky. but tought of her often. resently moved back, just heared of your loss my sympaties to and your family.

I just learned that Ruth passed away.  She was a wonderful person and an outstanding professional nurse.  I only had the privilege on knowing her for a short period, but she touch my life during that time, as I am sure she touch many others throughout her life. She, as well as you her family, are in my thoughts and prayers.

Dear Bob, Matthew and Joyce -

     A nursing colleague told me that Ruth had passed away on the 6th.  I am so sorry that I was not there to say goodbye to my buddy and to support you.  My heart is saddened but I am comforted in knowing that she is released from a body that no longer served her.  I know she is at peace with God, and I hope you feel the comfort of us who loved her and love you.   

In all the years I knew Ruth, starting in the O.R. at Fairview Hospital many years ago, I respected her  for her great knowledge, her wonderful sense of humor and her thoughtfulness.  She is one of the smartest people I knew.  But more than that, she showed the stuff she was really made of in her courage and tenacity after suffering a devastating stroke.  She turned that around and, as a brilliant teacher, put a handbook and guide together to help others.

     Way to go, Ruth!  I was privileged to know you and to have you as my friend.  Fly free on eagles' wings until we meet again.

I am very sorry I did not know she had passed away, for I would have loved to have said goodbye and thank her for her friendship and kindness she always extended to me and all who knew her in AORN.  She was a true fighter and a great friend.

Dear Bob and family,
I just heard of Ruth's passing and am so sorry.   She and I lived on North Road during our childhood.   I can remember all the times everyone in the neighborhood played under the street lights !  She was knows as "Ruthie" to all us.  We also shared living in Fairview Park as adults.  She and my husband worked at Fairview Hospital and we would see each other at different events over the years.  Just this past summer, Ruth was coming from the Senior Center in her chair, and stopped to chat with me . We talked about how old we were and all the things we go thru in life.   She was always positive and said nothing should ever stop you from going on with life.   Take comfort in knowing she is with God and at peace.   God will be with you and your family during this difficult time.

I met Ruth about 8 months ago.  During that time, truly felt blessed with the opportunities to become friends.  She had such a beautiful laugh, and smile, both of which I will miss. I know God placed me in her life to help meet some of her needs, but I am more than confidant she was in mine for good reason as well.  She crawled into my heart, there she remains.   I pray to be half the phenomenal women she was. God bless my good friend Ruth!

Bob, I'm sorry for you loss.  She was certainly a strong lady who overcame a lot of hardships these last couple of yrs. I'm sending my sympathy to you and your family.

Uncle Bob, I just wanted to pass along my condolences. I know that there is sadness in your heart but be comforted in knowing that Ruth is with our Lord.

I knew Ruth during the Christ Renews His Parish program at St. Mel's.  She was a kind, strong, loving woman.  My prayers are with you and your family.

My condolences to Bob and all the family.  Ruth was an amazing woman.  I was blessed by her friendship.  She will be missed.

I remember in grade school I was in class with her son Matt.  We went on a field trip to the front row to see the play "a christmas carol"  One on the actors had a heart attack or some medical emergency..  Ruth ran straight up to the stage to help this man.  It's a memory I never forgot.  I was happy to run into Mrs. Ericsson a few years back at a health fair. Peace

God bless you Ruth. You're loved and admired by everyone for that determined nature of yours which permitted you to have many good years even after a stroke which would have brought others to despair. To Ruth's Family and Friends, 

We offer you our heartfelt condolences and prayerful regards for Ruth who lived a truly exceptional life.  She used all her gifts to help others, even when she met obstacles that would have stopped most of us.  Nothing seemed to deter her from doing what she thought was right.  She was a healer and an educator and a wise person through and through.  

Not only that, she exhibited a strong and resilient faith in God.  Her example in the community of the Church was seen by everyone.  Nothing kept her from her journey and practice of faith and her relationship with God. 

Thus, we are confident that she is with God, now free from the confines of human illness and limitations, able to pray for us and especially for those who loved her and cared for her so well.  

May she rest in peace.  Please count on our prayers.  We were blessed to know her.
